Whether you're a sports addict or Omega watches enthusiast, you must have known that the renowned Swiss watchmaker Omega has been the official timekeeper of the Olympic Games several times. Now, the long-standing partnership continues in 2010. For the upcoming Olympic Winter Games in Vancouver, Canada, February 12th to 28th, 2010, Omega specially released the Omega Seamaster Diver 300m Vancouver Limited edition watch.
Omega is always on the way of creating accurate wristwatches with irresistible charm. The Vancouver 2010 is no exception. It really presented a brand new timepiece before us, Omega Seamaster Diver Vancouver 2010. Let's take a glance at what is special: the watch's dial is white like snow, the markers are blue as ice and the anodized aluminum bezel is red as the Maple leaf on the Canadian flag. The hands and indexes are coated with white Super-LumiNova coating that provides a soft blue reflection in the dark. Besides, instead of the traditional sea-horse, the model has the Vancouver 2010 Winter Olympic Games logo featuring "Ilanaaq", the symbol of the Games on its caseback. The logo just symbolizes the keys of the games: friendship, cooperation and human spirit. Though as an limited edition, the model still focuses on Divers. It has a water resistance rating of respectable 300m, featuring a unidirectional rotating bezel and a mandatory helium-escape valve.
You will find easy to spot the limited version. You see, the Olympic Symbols - five interlocking rings, colored blue, yellow, black, green, and red on a white field, is presented on the counterweight of the red-tipped, rhodium-plated chronograph seconds hand.
